Welcome Sharon Gless:

We’re joined on the Starline by an author, multiple Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress. Her memoir is “Apparently There Were Complaints”. We welcome Sharon Gless.

Sharon, let’s go Beyond the Mic. “Apparently There Were Complaints” is a memoir filled with honesty, laughter, and sadness. You’ve been an actress since you were 26. Did you ever lose your self-identity while acting these incredible roles in your career?

Your life from department store page, selling aluminum siding to an award winning career acting was one adventure after another. Looking back, did you wonder how you survived all of it?

I read it, it was a real page turner. What was the moment, the “aha”, when you knew acting was the right path?

The Rockin’ 8:

It’s time for the Rockin’ 8, 8 random questions; answer with the first thing that comes to your mind. There is no Pressure.

1. How many Nathan’s hot dogs have you had at one time?

2. Person you wanted to act with, but never had the chance?

3. What makes you laugh?

4. What would you want to do on your 100th birthday?

5. Last movie you watched?

6. Who is your first call when you get good news?

7. If you could choose an actress today to play you in the film of your book, who would you pick?

8. What was your 1st car?

One Big Question:

Which role do you wish you had done that you were offered?

The Wrap:

“Apparently There Were Complaints” is her memoir. She once ate 4 Nathan’s hot dogs in one sitting and was once offered to play Marilyn Monroe. We thank Sharon Gless for taking the time to talk with us today.

And that my friends is a Beyond the Mic Short Cut.
