Thea, let’s go Beyond the Mic. You wrote a Vanity Fair piece in 2018 was about New Girl trying to make things right in its final season. What were you seeing in the show that made you need to writ e that?
Liz Meriwether described the New Girl set as a lab — a place where off-the-cuff comedy was created by the cast in the moment or through a long list of alt jokes, additional scripted jokes beyond what was written on the page. What’s your favorite joke from that process?
