“The Curious Life & Death of…” Dr. Lindsey Fitzharris

We’re joined on the Starline by medical historian, author and host of “The Curious Life & Death Of …“ on The Smithsonian Channel.

Welcome Dr. Lindsey Fitzharris.

Let’s go Beyond the Mic you’ve described yourself as a “conveyor of nightmare-inducing history” why was history so fascinating for you?

When was the first time you saw a dead body and how did that moment change your life?

You’ve written a book “The Butchering Art”, hosted the YouTube series “Under the Knife” and working on your second book on the father of plastic surgery. How have these things you’ve done changed the way people look at the past and the medical advances we enjoy today?

What makes cold cases with true crime and an evil twist make you smile?

I watched the advanced screener and watched the frustration you had with the gel dummy representing Lizzie Borden’s father.

You’ve said “I love failure. We don’t talk enough about it. Failure leads to success.” What failures have made you stronger?

The Rockin’ 8

Time is running out, so it’s time for the Rockin’ 8, 8 random questions, answer with the first thing that comes to your mind.

There is no Pressure.

1. Last present you got from a fan

2. Favorite bone in the body?

3. # of sculls you personally own?

4. Last book you read

5. Person in history that you would want to talk with for just 5 minutes

6. When do you start decorating for Halloween?

7. I know it’s like picking a favorite child but which was your favorite of the six episodes of the series

8. So what’s the next book you are writing?

Now rumor is you’re teaming up with your new husband on a children’s book. Is it a children’s book or a macbre children’s book?

How have you survived and thrived during COVID

Morgues and Sequins are an odd combination, but they work.

She owns at least 4 skulls, starts decorating for Halloween on October 1st and the last book she read was “The Exorcist”. She’s the star of the Smithsonian Channel’s “The Curious Life & Death of…” Dr. Lindsey Fitzharris.

And that my friends is Beyond the Mic.
