We’re joined on the Starline by the executive director for HeadCount. Welcome Andy Bernstein.
Let’s go Beyond the Mic. Andy explain how a former author of the “Pharmer’s Almanac”, a guide to the band Phish now is interested in election activism? Why was this important to you to do?
Headcount is non-partisan and non-profit. Do people see your efforts as truly non-partisan?
You’ve teamed up with Global Citizen to mobilize voters especially young Americans. Why do you really think you can get a portion of the population who has traditionally been one of the most unreliable demographics to vote?
Can you talk about your staff of volunteers who help gets this done.
How easy or hard was it for artists involvement?
Time to put your feet to the fire best Phish song in your opinion is…
Biggest lesson you learned at HeadCount ?
How does mobilizing support for artists, entertainers, media, corporation and non profits help our country’s future?
How can people get involved?
He’s a Phishead, helped found Headcount in 2004. His team has helped register over 700,000 voters. Andy Bernstein thanks so much for talking with me today!
And that my friends is a Beyond the Mic Short Cut.
