“I would have liked to have played eleven in Stranger Things, but I think I was slightly out of the casting age.” – Jodie Whittaker
Welcome Jodie Whittaker
We’re joined on the Starline by an actress who has worked in film, television, radio and theatre. You’ve seen her in “Black Mirror”, “Broadchurch”, “Trust Me” and a minor British sci-fi show. Her latest project has her playing Orla in the BBC’s 3-part women’s prison drama “Time”. We welcome Jodie Whittaker.
Jodie, let’s go Beyond the Mic. You didn’t consult to anyone who had been in prison before you shot this, which made your shots more real and raw. The emotions you, Tamara and Bella portray in this show are incredible. Why was this project so important to you and how was working with the incredible cast and crew change you?
How did your own two children help or hurt you with the scenes with your characters three child co-stars?
Orla was in a prison because of her poor choices, but do you think she will ever be free…
Do you think she’ll ever be free of the prison of her own mind?
