Paul Scheer on Comedy, Family, and ‘Joyful Recollections of Trauma’

“…everything that I am is through other people sharing their stories with me, inspiring me, making me go forward, making me find help, making me change.”

Welcome Paul Scheer

We’re joined on the Starline by an actor, comedian, director, filmmaker and podcaster. You’ve seen him in “The League”, “Black Monday” “Knuckles” and early in his career he had lunch with pre-dances with knives Britney Spears.  His latest effort is the book “Joyful Recollections of Trauma”. We welcome Paul Scheer.

Paul, let’s go Beyond the Mic. Life isn’t fair and in some cases it sucks. As a divorced dad, I know the pain of living without my children. You grew up as the only child of divorced parents. What makes your wife June such an anchor for your heart?

“Auditions and gigs will come and go, but in a career as hard as this, the most important thing is having people who will get your back on and off the stage.” Who is the one person, not related to you, that has had your back from the earliest days to today?
