Welcome Eva Gardner

We’re joined on the Starline by a bassist for Pink, Cher, Gwen Stefani and more. She’s been called a bass phenom, a tour of force. Her solo album Chasing Ghosts is out now. Welcome Eva Gardner

Let’s go Beyond the Mic your dad had a strong influence on you becoming a musician. Talk about the things he taught you?

Were you ever able to see your dad play out on tour?

Every musician growing up wants to have a # 1 song, or go out on tour. All you wanted, since you were 12 was to have a Fender signature bass. How did it feel to have your name on one?

You went to the LA County High School for the Arts. What do you remember about your time there?

Since you brought up your all Catholic school band Entropy…

Are you still in contact with them.

You’ve played with a who’s who of stars, Cher, Veruca Salt, Moby, Pink… why was this time the right time to go out on your own?

So as you started to record in your hotel rooms, where did inspiration hit you, where did Chasing Ghosts come from?

On social media, you talked about finding a high school notebook talking about music theory. How did that one lesson from your high school bass teacher help you today?

My son is studying music at the conservatory of music at University of Cincinnati, where have you found your success originated from, your schooling or from life on the road?

Eva you’ve been a teacher at rock & roll fantasy camp, how does sharing your music and teaching help you as you help others?

Music has stopped…

A year ago you were playing in Wembley Stadium, but because of the Coronavirus, the music has stopped, concerts have stopped. What are you doing now to prepare yourself when the music can begin again?

The album is “Chasing Ghosts”, the artist is Eva Gardner and she joins us Beyond the Mic. Where did you record the album and how did feel to co-produce the album to get the vision you saw for it in the final version?

What song took the longest time for you to get to where you wanted it to be?

Who did you give the first rough cuts of the album to get their opinion?

Eva, do you feel the music industry has changed for the better or the worse since you’ve been in it?

What would your dad think about this album?
