Paris Winningham from NBC’s “The Voice”

Welcome Paris Winningham:

We’re joined on the Starline by a man serving with honor in the Navy 4 years at naval station Mayport, the Jacksonville Florida native next battle is in season 21 of NBC’s “The Voice”. We welcome Paris Winningham.

Paris, let’s go Beyond the Mic. Before we start I have to thank you for serving our country.

How did your time in the engine room help prepare you for “The Voice”?

Made up of stage presence, a heart for the music and a soul full of love. Why was this opportunity important for you to take advantage of?

Since this rebirth, your adopted family chose you, you are the chosen one!  How has your adopted family helped you grow spiritually, emotionally and mentally to this day?

You belted out Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” in the blinds. Why was that your go to song?

Amen to that, “Ariana, I love you, but John, let’s make history.” – What’s the history you want to make?

You get to the battles. Jonathan and you pull out one of the closest battles this year. What’s going through your head as you get the win and head to the knockouts?

The Rockin’ 8:

It’s time for the Rockin’ 8, 8 random questions; answer with the first thing that comes to your mind.

Paris, there is no Pressure.

1. Favorite ship to serve on?

2. Best MRE to eat?

3. Who was the best boss you ever had and what made them the best?

4. What do you do with pennies? Keep them in car

5. Favorite place on the boat to think?

6. Do you make wishes when you blow out candles on a birthday cake?

7. What’s the 1 thing your family doesn’t know about you?

8. What is the one thing you wish you could avoid?

The Back Half with Paris Winningham:

“Character is how you treat those who can do nothing for you”. You said that, how have you been treated and how have you been tested?

What tips has John given you that can help you in your future?

How has Lalah Hathaway inspired you and which other musician have inspired your musical joy?”

Some people are trying to push to be noticed by producers, record companies. Some people are trying to prove to themselves they have what it takes, but what’s your motivation for this competition?

One Big Question

You’re a preacher. What’s the sermon that you want to give from the lessons you’ve gained from “The Voice”? What’s the topic of that sermon?

“People either prove to you how important you are to them, or you live long enough to watch yourself become irrelevant to them” – How has the friends you’ve gained from the show proven important to you?

The Wrap:

Wants to play with David Sanborn, loved serving on the USS Denver and like us all, hates losing people. We thank Paris Winningham for taking the time to talk with us today.

And that my friends is Beyond the Mic.

Superstition… the go to song!
One of the tightest battles EVER!
