Welcome M. P.:
We’re joined on the Starline by formal naval intelligence officer, marketing officer for Amazon Prime Video. Before we start we have to thank him for his service to our country. His latest project was 20 years in the making with his book “The Handler” we welcome author M.P. Woodward.
Michael, let’s go Beyond the Mic. You first wrote a book 20 years ago and realized it didn’t have the substance you wanted. So you put it down and ground out a life in the telecommunications and entertainment industry. Why did you pick it back up?
John Dale is a dogged agent. “Just get me a weapon and a ride. I’ll get him. You know I will.” How similar is John to your own military career?
Trust is hard in the intelligence agencies. You trust no one. How does anything get accomplished?
Which author influenced your writing?
The Rockin’ 8:

2. Best place to dive?
3. Favorite place to beach camp?
4. Last Amazon Prime Video series you binge watched?
5. Favorite of the old HTC phones?
6. What do you think is worse, failing or never trying?
7. Favorite weapon of choice?

The Back Half with:
Place in the world we should be worried about other than Ukraine?
With the experience you have writing the Dale’s are you looking forward to a 2nd and 3rd novels for these characters?
If you could would you go back to intelligence gathering?
Why was that experience so worthwhile for you?
One Big Question:
Even with your own military career over, you are protective of your privacy, except for recently creating social media to promote the book, you’re a ghost. How much of your anonymity was for the safety of your family and yourself?
How hard as friendships for an intelligence officer?
The Wrap:
