Welcome Dr. Mike:
We’re joined on the Starline by an educator, author and advisor to Men’s Health magazine. He’s published over 600 articles on health and nutrition. We welcome Dr. Mike Roussell
Mike, let’s go Beyond the Mic. You have tackled the effects of lifestyle interventions on high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels and the effect of a DASH-like diet containing lean beef on vascular health. Why were you intrigued on a recent study conducted by Cornell University on pistachios?
You have done so much research on cardiac health and antioxidants. Was there someone in your family that has driven you to these goals or was it just interesting to you?
With groceries costs increasing, what are some inexpensive ways to support healthy heart health?
In your own house, you have limited access to snacks by making it easier to see, but harder to get to by putting it in airtight containers adding a barrier to eating an entire bag of chips.
Why did that work with your kids?
The Rockin’ 8:
It’s time for the Rockin’ 8, 8 random questions; answer with the first thing that comes to your mind. There is no Pressure.

3. Favorite of all your Neuro Coffee blends?
4. Longest distance you’ve rucked in New York City?
5. Favorite place to think in Rochester?

7. Best place on the Penn State Campus?
8. You are a fan of pistachios, avocados, but what’s your guilty food pleasure?
One Big Question:
How has your advice changed and evolved from your first podcast to today?

Where can people find you?
